For an animal that goes to the bathroom 150 times a day, these koala bears are pretty damned cute. Since eucalyptus leaves contain very little nutrients and their bodies can absorb very little of it, the food goes right through them...hence the number of times they have to pee and poop. In addition to that, they are asleep about 20 hours a day. That's not a bad life.
When I asked the handler how a koala bear would taste, the answer was "not very good". Unfortunately, this is one potentially tasty animal I will not get the chance to consume.
Note: don't expect too many cutsy shots like this in the near future.
