Murder Weapon II

I previously posted a shot from a market in Saigon, Vietnam called Murder Weapon. I suppose you can say this is the sequel.

I thought long and hard about whether or not to post this image, but the butcher in this tiny town in the Central Highlands of Vietnam would have wanted me to. He enthusiastically encouraged me to take this photo, so perhaps I am simply complying with his wishes.

I don't post images like this because I don't respect animals -- it is the exact opposite in fact. When I see an image like this, it brings meat (and food) to life. So often we see our neatly packaged meat products on the supermarket shelves and don't even realize that it was once a living breathing animal. If you can continue to eat beef after seeing this image, or if this makes you question your consumption of meat, then my work here is done.
