Along the Ho Chi Minh Trail

A rare Sunday posting because I will be couped up with a minority family tomorrow night and won't have internet access! I just finished day three of a five day "Easy Riders" motorbike tour from Hoi An to Dalat in Vietnam. The route will take me about 1,000km through the Ho Chi Minh Trail in the Central Highlands, through a bunch of minority villages and countryside. The Ho Chi Minh Trail was used by the North Vietnamese to supply weapons, foods, etc. to the Communist supports (Viet Cong) in the South. American bombers killed hundreds of thousands of innocent people trying to disrupt this supply route.

The Easy Rider tour is an adventure I've wanted to do for seven years and I've finally made it happen. The scenery is gorgeous (even in a hail storm). This is love.
