Hurry Up and Wait

I lined up for the China Pavilion on the Expo grounds. Six months after the official end of Expo 2010 in Shanghai, massive crowds still gather to view what's inside. I am convinced that the mobs don't actually know what's there. I know I didn't. It didn't stop me from visiting either. Smaller line-ups led to bigger line-ups that led to smaller ones. They didn't end when you got into the pavilion either.

I survived two and a half hours in the sun being pushed and shoved; saw children and elders nearly get trampled on and was victim of some serious invasions to my personal space. It was one of the most challenging days on my trip. When asked if "it was worth it", I could only respond that it is just part of the whole experience.
