The beautiful Wuyi Mountains on the border of Fujian and Jiangxi Provinces in China is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It doesn't take too much to get off the beaten path and onto challenging day hikes here. Don't forget your water though, I was sick for several days after this day because of heat exhaustion. The people who sell water will also charge you 10 times the normal cost back in town. You're warned!
As you may have guessed, "Wuyi" rhymes with the word "Huey" as in the 80's band with the same likeness.
