Every business and home I've run into in Bangkok has an area of worship, usually towards the back of the building. The area is either a Buddhist set-up like this one, or one paying homage to the King and their country. I saw this in a toy store with the tight aisles packed in with random toys wrapped in plastic, ideal for a shot with nice depth of field.
Pictured is likely Guanyin, who is bodhisattva associated with compassion as venerated by East Asian Buddhists.
