Located just north of Kuala Lumpur is the Batu Caves. It's a Hindu temple carved into the limestone hillside and is a shrine for Lord Murugan. It is also home to an annual Thaipusam festival where devotees attach hooks and other S&M gear to themselves to show their (to Hinduism or S&M, I am unsure). I missed this festival by a couple of weeks (damn it!).
The only way to get shots of this place without tourists; point the camera upwards...voila!
Holy Bat(u) Cave!
