Triangles? Try angles.
This shot could be misinterpreted for some sort of crappy wannabe Edward Burtynsky shot. Oh wait, I sort of am a wannabe. Damn it. Ok, I love Burtynsky and bow down to his awesomeness. One day, maybe, I will be able to capture images remotely as stunning. One day.

I had never heard of Edward Burtynsky before...I quite like his China "urban renewal" series.
Nice view, love the triangles! Did you take this one from a rooftop?
I hadn't heard about Burtynsky until a friend I was visiting in China told me about him. I've since seen a couple of his exhibits in Toronto. They're fantastic. Yes, this is a rooftop shot.
Holy crap man. The symmetry of those buildings is blowing my mind right now. Great shot Neil.
Thanks Jakob, it was indeed a pretty cool location to shoot from. I will likely go back for another visit.
I'll take your images over Burtynsky's anytime. He obviously has the technique down pat, and he has the budget for it but his images don't move me. to each his own, I guess. Burtynsky's images are like Googleearth's on steroids. Amazing in it's execution but leaves me empty (and in despair, actually).
Well Diogenes, that is quite the compliment, but you have to appreciate the effort that goes into Burtynsky's work. The exhibition he had at the ROM recently had my jaw on the floor. Execution is spot on and I enjoy the tones he sets in his images. Not all of them are doom and gloom.
