Dalat is Squaresville

In my latest blog posting, I bring to you a long exposure of the central square in Dalat, Vietnam. I haven't done too many night shot scenes on my travels, mainly because the tiny little GorillaPod I brought with me on the trip isn't exactly reliable, not to mention it is a bit of a pain carrying around.

You can see at the top of the image that there's this Eiffel Tower looking pole there -- one of the many French influences on this town. The reason this city was so popular was because the French could escape the heat of Saigon and retreat into the mountains. My thoughts? It is a very cool photogenic town. I wish I had more time there. [this shot is straight out of the camera, minus a small crop].
