Dating Churches

Inspired by my latest post last Friday, I decided to check out the St. Clement's Anglican Church in Toronto, which remains in pristine condition despite being abandoned for over three years now. Initially, the church was slated to be reconstructed into condominiums, however, it looks like this building may be on its way in receiving heritage status from the City of Toronto. The future of this church, as I see it, is uncertain.

The church was completed in 1914, however, there are inscribed names and dates on the organ that go back 10 or so years earlier. Some of the documentation in the church also indicated that the centennial celebration was set for the year 1989. As you can see, I am very confused regarding the dating of this church.
