I often pass by the legendary Honest Ed's discount store without much of a second thought. Truthfully, I think I've only been there a handful of times; a shame really.
Walking in the store is like getting a blast of pop culture history, with posters and photos from old film and stage productions, as well as signed items from famous actors and musicians prominently displayed throughout. If you take a closer look, you will see that every single piece of signage is hand-painted! It's frickin' crazy! "There's no real way to explain this place," as my Australian friend told me today. I couldn't have said it any better myself. And 77 cents for a pair of Man Zone underwear? Now that is honesty pricing.
What Honesty Looks Like
Done in 30 Seconds
I've blogged before about how the new extension at the Royal Ontario Museum was considered one of the most hideous buildings in the world. I've also mentioned that I actually like the over-the-top design.
Here's one from back in February. It's a 30 second exposure at f/22 with a Canon 24-70mm L. Enjoy!
