Urban Exploration: Camp 30

You know that for me to get to Bowmanville, there has to be something there that is remarkably intriguing. Well, there's Camp 30 -- the site of my latest exploration.

Camp 30 was a Canadian-run POW camp that held Nazi officers during World War II. (from Wikipedia) Prisoners Otto Kretschmer and Wolfgang Heyda were the subject of an elaborate escape here. Something that looked very "shawshank" in its design. The escape was not successful.
