Walking by Sam's

For those of you not from Toronto, you may be curious as to what happened to the Sam the Record Man landmark store on Yonge Street. Well, this is it.

Ryerson University has been on a buying rampage in recent years, purchasing this property, Maple Leaf Gardens, and putting up a new business building right at Bay and Dundas. They're buying properties in an effort to expand the Ryerson campus and accommodate its growth.

Sorry for the plug; I'm a proud Ryerson alumnus and current Chair of the Ryerson University Business Alumni Association. Would you expect anything less of me?

Entrance to Trains

I was quite shocked to see Union Station so empty and bare. I couldn't help but take a picture. I processed this using Photomatix as a one exposure pseudo-HDR. I think it works well for this image.
