From the Cheap Seats

I think there might be an unsafe roof situation going on at Eastown Theater in Detroit. The cheap seats were all I could afford, but the breeze and sun feel nice on my skin.

After coming back safely from the Eastown, a fellow explorer friend of mine shared an interesting story of another group of photographers who were approached by eight men and robbed of thousands of dollars worth of gear. I am sharing this because I think it's important to communicate the (calculated) risks we explorers sometimes take to do the things we love. It isn't all as sexy and glamorous as the photos make it out to be.

As a side: I am off to NY for my birthday today and will taking on a couple of shows; Fistful of Mercy (a band featuring Ben Harper, Joseph Arthur, and Dhani Harrison) and The Frames (20th anniversary tour!). Should be a great time!
