My Nuit Blanche 2009

I've never really gone out for Scotiabank Nuit Blanche. The last time I attempted to go was in 2007, after I was invited out by my friend "Ben" to meet up at the Drake. Long story short, it was so packed that no one else was getting in, including his associations like me and his tour manager.

Fast forward to 2009. I decided to brave the crowds and venture off, camera and tripod in hand, with a few of my fellow Yelp friends. Here are a few of the sites we visited.


A wall of colored water bottles lights up Trinity Bellwoods Park.




At the "New" Art Gallery on Queen West. I don't really know what the name of this art piece was, but it was a series of tubes and, what appeared to be, surgical masks. There was air being pushed through the tubes, which gave it a life of its own.




The famous Drake Hotel had a neat little art 'experiment'. Passersby could text a message to a number and this message would (almost instantly) appear on the outside wall of the hotel.

Jeff Koons, world famous artist and parade float extraordinaire? Here was his Rabbit Ballon at the Eaton Centre, which drew massive crowds.
