My friend's band, The Quarry, played a show at the Legendary Horseshoe Tavern last night to a group of loyal fans; many of whom made the trip from north of Toronto.

Showing Solidarity on the 20th Anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre
To mark the 20th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre, a group of Torontonians staged a 'laydown' at Nathan Phillips Square to show solidarity with their Chinese counterparts.
It is remarkably surprising to me that no one really knows how many lives were lost during the massacre and that many of the people in China are unaware of the massacre ever occurred there.
