They say that touching the foot of the John Harvard statue on campus is supposed to bring good luck. Other myths say that touching his shoe will mean that your children will be able to attend the famed university.
So here is the funny story. I took this picture thinking it was a great perspective of this bronzed monument; focusing on the shoe, since it is really the shoe that brings us the luck. While browsing the Harvard Book Store, my girlfriend sees a postcard (which I have never seen before)...the card shows an image near identical to the picture I took moments earlier.
